|Brian is the Founder and Managing Director of Appssurance, Inc., the leading provider of Oracle Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions. Brian has 15 years of experience dedicated to serving clients in the Oracle GRC space and specializes in providing GRC strategy as well as business process and internal control design services to global organizations. Prior to Appssurance, Brian was in senior management within the Technology and Security Risk Services practice at Ernst & Young. Brian held many leadership positions during his tenure at Ernst & Young including leading the Firm's US and Global Oracle GRC service line, the Metro New York Area's ERP assurance practice and the Southeast Area's IT Risk Advisory Solutions practice. In addition, Brian was one of five members on E&Y's global ERP assurance leadership team and was responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the service line. Prior to Ernst & Young, Brian worked as an applications consultant for Oracle Corporation.|
Outside of work Brian is an avid college basketball fan having been a basketball coach for over seven years. Brian was an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of South Florida during the 1991-1996 seasons. Previous to his stint at South Florida Brian coached for one season in the United States Basketball League (USBL) and two seasons at the high school level.
Brian holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida. He has passed the CPA exam and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is a member of the National, Florida and Atlanta Oracle Applications User Groups and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
|Ramon is the Director of Information Technology for Appssurance, Inc. and serves as the primary liaison with client IT personnel. Ramon is an accomplished information system professional with over 15 years of experience in implementation, configuration and support of Oracle applications and systems spanning multiple industries. Ramon has served various clients as a consultant, performing Oracle implementations in the role of Senior Manager, Senior Principal Consultant, Senior Database Administrator, Project Lead and Architect.|
Ramon has implemented many Oracle solutions including Oracle databases (v7 to 11g), Oracle Business Intelligence (Oracle Express, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle EPM, OBIEE), Oracle E-Business Suite, Data warehousing applications and complete change and problem management. Additional areas of expertise include SQL, PL*SQL, Oracle Developer, Oracle Designer, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Virtualization, SAN (EMC, Network Appliance, etc), server assembly, configuration and performance tuning. Ramon has experience on various operating systems including Windows, Linux, HP-UX, IBM-AIX and Sun-Solaris.
Most recently Ramon was the lead consultant for REM Associates, LLC in Miami, Florida. During his tenure Ramon contributed to the design and implementation of various forecasting, planning, and reporting applications for more than ten major projects, impacting both regional and global operations. Clients included Burger King Corporation, Helena Industries, Visa International. Prior to REM Associates Ramon was the Senior Manager ¿ Business Intelligence for Bacardi USA. While at Bacardi USA Ramon directed the development, support, and maintenance of several decision support applications for the finance, marketing, sales and operations departments.
Ramon holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in Lima, Peru.
|Joe is Director of Process and Risk Solutions at Appssurance, Inc., the leading provider of Oracle Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions. Joe has over 18 years experience working with world-class organizations to evaluate risks, improve processes, and meet compliance objectives. He has served as an external financial and information systems auditor & risk advisor, implemented Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) I.T. controls, and works with clients to build a foundation for the evaluation, management, and control of risks.|
Joe joined Appssurance after six years as the Assistant Vice President, Corporate Accounting & Oracle Systems Administration, for a $9 billion public company. Joe's responsibilities included providing assurance over system compliance to meet external and internal audit and SOX requirements, Oracle E-Business Suite security and administration, and other internal control initiatives. He was also responsible for management of the SOX IT Compliance PMO from initial adoption through full sustainability. Previously, Joe spent 12 years with Ernst & Young LLP in the Technology & Security Risk Services practice, where he was responsible for coordination of IT risk services to a variety of enterprises. He also worked in E&Y¿s National office, where he was instrumental in integrating application controls testing into the firm¿s Global Audit Methodology, and development of a National Application Controls Consulting practice.
Joe holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting, and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, both from the University of Miami. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
